People have different body types or body shapes. Knowing your body type will help you decide on what kind of clothes you must invest on yourself to bring out your assets. Let’s define each body type and see what kind of clothes are suggested for each type.
A. Pear shape body type (triangle upward)
With this body shape, your hip size is greater than your shoulder size. The upper body is smaller than your lower body. So women with large buttocks, hips and thighs fall in this category.
Since the shoulders are less likely to be noticed for Pear shape body type, clothes worn by these body should give emphasize on the shoulders. It should draw the attention away from the large hips and thighs.

B. Apple shape (triangle downward)
If you have broader shoulders and narrower hips. Generally, a woman has an apple shape figure if the upper body is noticeably larger than the lower body and the legs/thighs are slimmer.
If your body shape is that of an apple, then you need to choose clothes that would stray away from your waist and minimize the appearance of your broad shoulders. The legs can also be great point to emphasize.

C. Banana shape (rectangular)
This is the easiest to identify because this body type doesn’t have lots of curves and is basically straight up and down. Body fat is distributed almost evenly in the abdomen, buttocks, chest and face. The hip and bust are almost equal in size.
With this body type, women tend to go for clothes that would give them the appearance of having curves. Accessorizing also helps like wearing belts to break the straight line around the waist, or long necklaces to draw attention to the neck down to the chest and create illusion of curves.

D. Hourglass figure (triangle opposing, facing in)
This is the most ideal and sexiest body shape because the hip and bust has almost equal size and has a narrow waist and slim legs/thighs. If you’re curvy and a very defined waist, then congratulations because you’ve got an hourglass figure.
Having this body type is a breeze because almost all styles of clothing fits good. Just to emphasize the hourglass shape, wear dresses that hugs the waist and then partner it with boot cut jeans to show off the whole sexy figure.
